Janus, Labor’s Fightback and the 2018 Elections Webinar – Sunday Aug 19th at 8pm EST!

Join People’s World and CPUSA activists for a discussion on the history of Right to Work, what the Janus Supreme Court Decision means for Labor and the Progressive Movement, how labor is fighting back, how to get involved and the importance of the 2018 Midterm Elections.

Hear stories and strategies from labor leaders in three states with different circumstances: a teacher’s union leader in Connecticut, a health care worker organizer in Missouri, a leader of Jobs with Justice in Arizona.

Hear also from a federal worker about the assault on that sector, the editor of People’s World on the history of right-to-work, and a Florida organizer on the Labor, 2018 election campaign. Join the discussion!

The Webinar comes right after the tremendous victory working people scored recently when the voters of Missouri struck down, by an overwhelming 67 percent, the right to work for laess law in that state. They did it after the GOP-controlled state government enacted right to work for less into state law and they did it by citizen referendum, sending a clear message to Republicans that people are sick and tired of their continued attacks on working people.

Let this webinar be the beginning of a bigger and even broader fight for workers’ rights in our country.
