Teresa Gonzalez

Teresa del Carmen Gonzalez is a retired teacher, administrator and former university adjunct assistant professor. Ms. Gonzalez has organized and participated in countless social justice demonstrations to improve the living, working, and education conditions of Mexicans and Chicanos for over 50 years. She was a founding member of La Vida Nueva student organization at East Los Angeles College, where they organized the first Cinco de Mayo celebration. She resides in the Boyle Heights area of East Los Angeles and is curating photos and articles on social justice events and persons relating to Mexican and Chicano history in the U.S.
