About 200 demonstrators participated in a holiday-themed picket line and rally at the Woodfin Suites Hotel in Emeryville, Calif., Dec. 18. They were protesting the firings of 21 immigrant workers who had been involved in a campaign to get the hotel to observe the city’s living wage ordinance.
