President Obama croons "Sweet Home Chicago" with BB King

President Obama sings the blues, not because he's down in the polls - he's up - but because legendary blues singer BB King asks him. The president accompanied by the First Lady sings Sweet Home Chicago at an event to be aired on PBS February 28th.

The president was reluctant, but BB King insited citing the precedent setting crooning of the chief-of-state at the Apollo Theater.  "You can do it" insisted BB King. The occasion was a White House concert to honor the blues.

  • This African American history month, it's grand to recognize through African American genre, an African American founded truly international city.
This great American probably of Haitian or Dominican background, wedded allegiance with the American Revolutionary War, places like Chicago, of course, but also St. Charles, MO (a former Capital of MO) and areas in Michigan and Indiana in exploratory and trading activities.
He, explorer du Sable, in these connections, is a qualified citizen of the world.
We pray our president Obama, would take all his world citizenship obligations and fight for peace, as he sings Sweet Chicago, Chicago of Jean Baptiste Point du Sable.
God bless the African element in the Americas, "Black Folk Then and Now".
