First sung at the California State Capitol in Sacramento by Darien De Lu, peace activist and state worker, at a demonstration on February 26, attended by 1,000 workers. (To the tune of “Which Side Are You On?” with new words by Darien De Lu.)

Come all of you good workers,
Sad news to you I’ll tell,
Of how Wisconsin workers
Are told to go to hell!
[chorus] Which side are you on? (4 x)

My parents both were workers,
And I’m a worker, too.
Ask yourself, those corporate cats,
Will they look out for you? [chorus]

Stand up for the workers!
Oh, do it while you can.
We’ll hold onto workers’ rights.
Our unions won’t be banned! [chorus]

They say that in the Midwest,
There are no neutrals there.
They’re siding with the union
Or betraying all that’s fair. [chorus]

Oh, people can you bear it?
Oh, tell me how you can.
Will you take the corp’rate side,
Or will you take a stand? [chorus]

United with Wisconsin –
They’re standing for us all!
For we know how to read our times
And we hear the call! [chorus]

Don’t fall for the bosses!
Repudiate their lies!
You know we only have a chance,
When we organize. [chorus]
