I hope this finds you well! I’m writing today encouraged by the huge turnout at the recent No Kings 3 demonstrations, what they represented in the fight against MAGA, and the organizing for May Day that they helped spark. Were you able to attend? I’m glad I was able to join a few hundred thousand other New Yorkers in what was surely a historic turnout.
People’s World was there, doing what it’s done for over a century now: covering the news and, while doing so, championing the cause of the working class for peace, justice, equality, and a livable world.
The good news is that the resistance is growing stronger and People’s World is in the thick of the fight. We’re not backing up or backing down. I’m writing today because we’re going to need your help in maintaining our voice and message.
Yes, it’s fund drive time again! As of today, we’ve raised $60,000 toward our $125,000 goal. In the spirit of our ongoing campaign to uphold the PW’s mission to be the voice of the working class, the people’s movements, and the Communist Party, can you help us get over the top?
Every year, the costs of producing our daily working-class voice increases. I’ve really been hearted by the large number of donors who’ve given $100 or more and those who’ve become monthly sustainers. That’s a solid show of commitment. Know that no donation is too small or too large, though.
We don’t have any corporate contributors, so we’re counting on you to help us make our target by May Day.
In the coming battles, you can be sure we won’t capitulate or equivocate. You can trust that will be the case because instead of relying on big business sponsors, our support comes from grassroots folks like yourself.
Thanks,
Joe Sims
