Mr. Trump, stop making excuses for Nazis

I’m ashamed of our President. When people openly fly the Nazi flag on American soil, you don’t make excuses for them or try to spread the blame around to reduce their responsibility for the violence. You condemn them outright, without question.

We fought a world war to fight this mentality. This is the America I was afraid of living in if Trump won. I tried to tell my family that Trump was inciting this kind of violence during his rallies, but the GOP was fantastic at creating public distrust of Clinton’s emails. We haven’t heard a peep about it since they won the electoral college. It was all a lie built up to discredit the Democratic candidate and too many people fell for it.

Since the election, the GOP has only tried to repeal the Affordable Care Act to replace it with worse care for millions fewer with a tax cut for billionaires who don’t need one thrown in for good measure.

All this while Trump vacations on his golf course like there are no real problems to solve and takes credit for the economy that the Obama administration rebuilt out of a deep recession. Guess what? Seven months is not long enough for Trump’s policies to have a meaningful effect on the macro-economy.

It’s going to be a long four years. I hope I don’t lose complete faith by then. This is not the America I thought we were. This is not the country I want to live in. #Resist
