Our July photo of the month is “Worker’s Son,” by Pepe Lozano. Often at a strike, demonstration or picket line, we strive to get everyone in, falsely believing that the more people we show, the better the photo. Sometimes we miss telling shots of individuals, like this one. “Son” shows the reader that the strike is really a matter for the whole family, not just mom or dad. This well-composed photo was taken at the child’s eye-level, helping us to get down into his world, which is really part of ours.
