When at 10
I learned the secret
of how babies were made
I thought oh so
that is what my parents did together
in the bed all these years
a secret they never told me about
and so that is why
people listen to the mushy music
on the radio…..
Then at 19
I learned the secret
of surplus value
and I thought oh so
that is how the rich get richer
and the workers get poorer
a secret my teachers never told me about either
and so that is why
there is a war going on
even in peace….
