Members of the Community Services Committee of the Metropolitan Detroit AFL-CIO prepare to distribute over 400 Christmas baskets to laid off workers Dec. 16. The committee members include workers from AFSCME, IBEW, IAM, Letter Carriers, Operating Engineers, UAW, Teamsters, Steelworkers, Utility Workers and others. Teamsters Local 299 members drove a semi with the food to the federation’s parking lot for the distribution.
