People’s World May Day fund appeal in the final stretch

Dear readers,

Thanks to the surge in donations from over 700 readers like yourself, the People’s World fund drive currently stands at $120,000. Today, we’re $5,000 shy of our $125,000 goal.

Brother, sister, sibling, friend, comrade, can you lend a hand and help us reach our May Day goal by donating today? The 2023 Fund Drive promises to be a smashing success: Not only are we a hair’s breadth away from completing it, but People’s World has added over 122 new sustainers in our effort to reach a total of 200 brand new monthly recurring contributors by the end of the year. Building on the 400 who already contribute monthly, we aim for 600 sustainers by Dec. 31, 2023.

As workers, we understand that not everyone can drop $100 or more at a time. Your contributions of $50, $20, 10, or $5 are also welcome.  Your donation will ensure People’s World doesn’t miss a beat in its coverage of the fight for democracy and against the MAGA fascist danger, the widespread labor upsurge and organizing across the country, the struggle for reproductive rights, and the all-important battle against racist police violence.

People’s World also covers international issues: global warming, the Ukraine war, and new initiatives by China and Brazil to achieve peace by removing Russian troops and stopping NATO expansion. Book, movie, and play reviews are a regular staple of People’s World daily coverage. In a word, People’s World is unique. And it does all of this from a partisan, pro-working class, pro-people, and pro-socialist standpoint.

To top it off, People’s World is independent. No corporate money clouds our vision or ties our hands. You’ll find no evidence of the Big Lie here that resulted in Fox News having to pay out close to $1 billion last week. We serve the truth daily in an accessible format we encourage you to share widely. And once again, we can do this because of you, our readers, and your ongoing support.

Thank you in advance for giving. It’s sincerely appreciated!! Let’s celebrate May Day by over-fulfilling the drive. What a way to celebrate People’s World’s 99th birthday this year, to say nothing of the 100th anniversary next year.
