Marc Lavietes

Dr. Marc Lavietes, a pulmonary/critical care specialist, has long been an activist for progressive causes. As a medical student, he assisted in counseling young men with potential medical issues to defer military conscription. He has worked on issues involving nuclear proliferation and continues to contribute to efforts to reform our health care system. Over the years, he has examined many asylum applicants for Physicians for Human Rights.
