Kelly Sinclair is a novelist and songwriter born and raised on the Texas Panhandle. Currently living in Central Texas, she earned a degree in mass communications from the University of Texas-Permian Basin, which is the heart of oil country. She worked as a small-town reporter for several years. She is an author with GLBT-focused Blue Feather Books, alternating each title from general to science fiction. Her SF work, "In the Now," was a 2013 finalist at the Lambda Association Literary Awards. Her work with People's World thus far has covered water rights, workplace safety, a political rally in Austin, a Latino protest song, and genetically-modified crops. Echoing her "mass comm" degree, she is happy to reach out to many sections of PW's audience with writing tips. Feel free to contact her at the Texas Media Collective email address shown above.
