President Obama sings the blues, not because he’s down in the polls – he’s up – but because legendary blues singer BB King asks him. The president accompanied by the First Lady sings Sweet Home Chicago at an event to be aired on PBS February 28th.
The president was reluctant, but BB King insited citing the precedent setting crooning of the chief-of-state at the Apollo Theater. “You can do it” insisted BB King. The occasion was a White House concert to honor the blues.
